DOG BEACHES
Due to water quality issues dogs are not permitted on most public beaches. However, there are three dog beaches located within the North Tahoe Public Utility District area.
The Tahoe Unleashed Dog Park at the North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista is another dog-friendly option when visiting Lake Tahoe with your four-legged companions.

- The first is in Kings Beach to the left (east) of the Coon Street Boat launch as you are looking at the Lake.
- The second is Carnelian West Beach in Carnelian Bay, where leashed dogs are welcomed.
- The third is Patton Landing, also in Carnelian Bay, which provides space for people who want to spend their beach time with their leashed dogs to the east of the bridge over the wetland, while the west side of that beach is for people only.
